Youth Mental Health First Aid

This workshop will teach educators how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This training gives adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to students who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
Books/Materials will be provided.
ESU 9’s Supporting School Mental Health week (June 1-5) is being offered for 3 credit hours through Hastings College. Cost is $210 per credit hour. In order to receive credit, you must attend the following 5 days:
June 1 – Trauma 101
June 2 – Youth Mental Health First Aid
June 3 – MTSS for Social/Emotional & Behavior Tiers 1-3
June 4-5 – “You Can’t Make Me” – Strategies for Managing Resistant Behaviors
