ESU 9 Welcomes New Staff

ESU 9 welcomes three employees to their staff for the 2018-2019 school year. They are:

Photo of Megan Welch Megan Welch, Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP), lives in Grand Island and has a strong background helping children at Boys Town Services. She has been a leader in working with children and families.

She will provide service in Aurora, Harvard, Giltner, Hampton and Silver Lake Public Schools.

 Photo of Jordon Messersmith Jordon Messersmith, Speech Language Pathologist, is a native of Hastings, and a graduate of UNK. He has had experience working with elementary students from a variety of backgrounds.

Jordon will be at Silver Lake Public Schools.

Photo of Katie Marten Kathleen (Katie) Marten, D/HH Interpreter, and her husband have been in Hastings for about a year.  Her husband Joseph grew up in Hastings and is a pilot for Spirit Airlines. Kathleen grew up as a “Military Brat” moving from one community to another. They have five children ranging in ages from 5 to 13. Kathleen has been a Sign Language Interpreter for 13 years, and we are so excited and blessed to have her as part of our D/HH department!

Katie will work .5 in Harvard every afternoon.
