About Our Administrator…

Beginning July 1, 2019, Mr. Drew Harris became the Chief Administrator of ESU 9. He started his education career as a high school mathematics teacher and coach in Clearwater, KS, in 1985, after receiving his Bachelor of Science from Pittsburg State University. His Master’s degree in Educational Administration and district-level certification are from Wichita State University. After accepting the high school principal’s position in Burrton, KS, in 1996, he was asked to take the superintendent’s role in that district in 1998. In 2006, he was selected as the superintendent at Thayer Central in Hebron, NE. He served that district for 13 years prior to coming to ESU 9. He and his wife Amy reside by Juniata. They have three grown children Cole, Hank, and Maggie.
