SEAC - Special Education Advisory Council

The Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) is an advisory panel established to provide policy guidance with respect to special education and related services for children with disabilities.  The responsibilities of the Special Education Advisory Council include becoming knowledgable about research-based educational practices and reviewing Nebraska Department of Education - Office of Special Education activities designed to improve outcomes for children with disabilities. The Council consists of a balance of parents, educators, administrators, and representatives from various state agencies who serve differently-abled children birth through age 21.  For more information on NDE's SEAC group visit their website:

DHH Stakeholder Meeting

The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Stakeholder Group meets twice a year.. Some meetings are held on location, some are offered via zoom and some follow a hybrid format (in person and on zoom)


The Nebraska Open Meetings Act guarantees that every meeting of a public body shall be open to the public in order that citizens may exercise their democratic privilege of attending and speaking at meetings of public bodies. (NRS 84-1407 through 1414).
